Privacy

Fontista collects no personal data. This page covers every version: Mac App Store, and Mac and Windows downloaded from this site. Last updated: 24 October 2026.

What the app does not do

• No account, no sign-up.
• No analytics, no usage statistics, no crash reports sent.
• No advertising, no trackers, nothing shared with third parties.

Your files

Your fonts, drawings, settings and exports stay on your computer, where you save them. Fontista sends them nowhere.

The only network access

When you pick a font from the collection of open-licence references (the reference font for ghosts), Fontista downloads it, with its licence text, from the public google/fonts repository on GitHub. The request carries nothing about you or your files; as with any web page, GitHub sees the connection's IP address. Nothing else goes over the Internet.

Purchase and licence

A Mac App Store purchase is handled by Apple; a purchase on this site by the Thinkspark Sell shop. Fontista sees no payment data. The licence key of the site version is checked offline and kept in your local settings; the Mac App Store version does not use one.
